A Salina man is in critical condition after he was found underneath a motorcycle in south Salina early Friday.
Salina Police Captain Mike Sweeney said this morning that police were called at 12:18 a.m. Friday to the 2600 block of South Ohio, where passers-by noticed a Yamaha motorcycle on the west curb just south of the intersection with Burr Oak.
Sweeney said Michael Hay, 43, of Salina, was found unconscious under the motorcycle. Hay was transported to Salina Regional Health Center, where he was in ICU in critical condition, Sweeney said.
The incident appears to be a single-vehicle accident, Sweeney said. He added that it appears that Hay was southbound on Ohio at a high rate of speed. The incident remains under investigation, he said.
