Beginning Tuesday, Fifth Street will be closed to southbound traffic between Elm Street and Ash Street for installation of a sanitary sewer line.

Southbound Fifth Street traffic will be detoured west on Elm Street to Santa Fe Avenue, then south on Santa Fe Avenue to Ash Street, then east on Ash Street to Fifth Street.

Access to adjacent properties will be maintained. Work is expected to be complete by September 11.

Motorists may encounter minor delays and are encouraged to find alternate routes.
