Two Discovery Channel Trek bicycles were stolen from a vehicle while parked at a north Salina Motel.

Sgt. Jim Feldman of the Salina Police Department said the bikes were taken between the early morning of Tuesday and Wednesday from the parking lot at the Holiday Inn Express, 755 W. Diamond Drive. A lock was cut to remove the bikes from the vehicle.

One of the bikes was blue in color, the other was gray and black. A third bike was not taken. The bicycles are owned at Roy Olpin who was staying at the motel.

Loss is placed at $8000.
