Shane Tyrell Ames, 38, Salina, died Thursday, August 23, 2018 after a hard-fought battle with brain cancer. He was born July 10, 1980 in Salina to Audie and Patti (Moore) Ames.

Survivors are his parents, Audie Ames and Patti Gendron; children, Zackary, Kolton, Jaxon, Dylan, and Brooklyn; siblings, Ashley, Levi, and Wyatt; and a host of other close family and friends.

Shane’s body was donated to Science Care in Aurora, CO for research. No services are planned at this time.
