Two people were arrested Wednesday in connection with a residential burglary that occurred the day before.
Salina Police Sergeant Jim Feldman said that sometime between 5:30-6:10 a.m. on Tuesday someone broke into a residence in the 800 block of East Iron and took a variety of items including a large number of tools, a camera system, a television, and a vacuum cleaner. Total loss of the initially reported items was estimated at $2,900. Feldman said the victim was still compiling an inventory of missing items.
During the course of the investigation, police arrested Jeremy Cornish, 33, of Salina, and Kandie Greeley, 32, of Salina, in connection with the burglary, Feldman said. They were charged with burglary, felony theft, and criminal damage to property, he said.
Some of the items stolen have been recovered, Feldman said. The investigation continues, he added.
