A vehicle stolen from the Mid State Plaza parking lot early Monday afternoon was recovered late Monday night in Butler County.

Salina Police Sergeant Jim Feldman said Tuesday that the white 2001 Chevrolet 1500 pickup was recovered by Butler County Sheriff’s Office personnel just after 11 p.m. Monday, and the driver, Jacob Denton, 31, Salina, was arrested and charged for driving while suspended. Feldman said theft charges have yet to be filed as the case is still under investigation.

The pickup was stolen between 12:25-12:30 p.m. Monday when its owner left his keys in the vehicle and went into Hobby Lobby for a few minutes, Feldman said.
