Rain is expected to develop late Tuesday evening and persist into Thursday morning.
According to the National Weather Service office in Wichita (NWSW) Forecast rainfall during this period is around an inch in central Kansas but could approach two inches between Arkansas City, Sedan, and Coffeyville.
The heaviest rain is expected Wednesday afternoon and evening. Isolated street flooding and flooding of low lying areas is possible with the heaviest rain. The rain will likely lead to rises on many of the streams and rivers.
