A Salina man was arrested after a 22-year-old female reported Saturday that she was beaten and strangled.
Salina Police Sergeant Jim Feldman said Monday that police were called to Salina Regional Health Center at 7 a.m. Saturday where the woman was being treated for injuries related to the incident. She was treated and released, Feldman said.
According to Feldman, the woman reported that Javon Lee Burse, 21, of Salina, struck her multiple times and strangled her. She told police that he then forced her to go with him to the 1000 block of North Fifth, where he struck her multiple times again. She was then able to get away, Feldman said.
At approximately 4 p.m. Saturday, Burse turned himself in and was arrested on suspicion of aggravated domestic battery, aggravated kidnapping, criminal threat, and domestic battery, Feldman said.
