Tools stolen from house construction site

A number of tools were stolen from a house construction site in southeast Salina over the weekend.

Salina Police Captain Paul Forrester said Wednesday that sometime between 12:30 p.m. Saturday and 8 a.m. Monday, someone stole tools from a house under construction in the 2700 block of Shoreline. Access to the house was gained by kicking in a rear door, he said.

Most of the tools were Milwaukee and DeWalt brands, and some had dark purple spray paint on them to designate ownership, Forrester said.

Total loss, including damage, was estimated at $3,700, he said.
