ABILENE — Employees of Memorial Health System (MHS) recently wore blue jeans at work for another “Jeans Day” fundraiser.

Employees who made a donation of at least $5 were allowed to wear blue jeans on the last Friday of December. The day was organized by the MHS Employer of Choice (EOC) committee.

A total donation of $185 was presented to the Community Meal of Abilene. Six Abilene churches are involved in the Community Meal, which is free to anyone who comes. The food and fellowship can be found each Monday from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church, 1400 N. Cedar.
