A 25-year-old Salina woman was arrested Monday on suspicion of numerous counts, including aggravated assault and battery.
According to Salina Police Captain Paul Forrester, Miranda Craig was arrested after an incident that occurred between noon and 1 p.m Monday at an apartment at 2130 E. Crawford.
Forrester said that Craig is accused of striking and pulling the hair of two women, a 20-year-old from Topeka and a 20-year-old from Salina. While Craig was restrained by a 29-year-old male who lives in the apartment, the other two women left, Forrester said. As the women were walking out of the building, Craig went out on the third-floor apartment balcony and began throwing items, including a cell phone, a candle, video games, and a gaming system, at the women, he said. The items were valued at $1,275, Forrester added.
Then, at 12:30 p.m. Monday, an anonymous caller reported to police that Craig had swerved her 2003 GMC Envoy at the male in the parking lot of the apartment building, Forrester said. Craig also is accused of tossing the male’s cellphone, valued at $100, out of the window of the SUV, he added.
Forrester said Craig was later arrested on suspicion of aggravated assault, felony damage to property, domestic violence/damage to property, domestic violence/battery, driving as a habitual violator, and driving with a revoked license.
