Snow will impact travel through Saturday morning as Saline County and surrounding counties are among those now in a winter storm warning.
According to the National Weather Service office in Wichita (NWSW), the winter storm warning is in effect until noon Saturday. Snow, which occasionally is expected to be heavy, will affect much of central Kansas, but especially the counties along Interstate 70. Total accumulation is now forecast to be six inches.
NWSW warns that a winter storm warning means significant amounts of snow, sleet, and ice will make travel very hazardous or impossible.
The latest road conditions can be obtained by calling 5 1 1, NWSW advises.
