Police investigating residential burglary

Two Salina residents are out $1,580 worth of property after someone broke into their central Salina home Tuesday.

Salina Police Captain Paul Forrester said Wednesday that sometime between 4:30-6 p.m. Tuesday, someone broke into a home in the 100 block of East Prescott and took a number of items, including the following.

  • Sony PlayStation 4
  • Nintendo Switch
  • Google Chrome laptop
  • Video games
  • A duffle bag

Forrester said that when the residents returned home at approximately 6 p.m., they notice that their front door was open. Once inside, they discovered the missing items. Forrester said that while police were investigating the burglary, they found that the back door had been forced open. It is believed entry was made through the back door and the exit was via the front door, he said.
