A part of westbound Interstate 70 in Saline County was closed for a time Thursday morning when a FedEx trailer overturned.

According to Saline County Sheriff Roger Soldan, FedEx driver Shonzell Davis, 23, of Kansas City, Kansas, said he dozed off and went into the median. When he tried to get back on the interstate, the back trailer of the two trailers he was pulling flipped over, Soldan said.

The accident occurred at 4:15 a.m. Thursday between the Ninth Street exit and the intersection with Interstate 135, Soldan said. The passing lane was closed for at least four hours, he added.

No one was injured, Soldan said.
