T-Birds come in at No. 15 in latest NJCAA Top 20 volleyball poll

CONCORDIA, Kan. – Sporting a 12-2 record ahead of three matches this week, the Cloud County Community College volleyball team is ranked number 15 in this week’s NJCAA Volleyball Top-20 poll which was released on Monday. 

Cloud County received a total of 38 points, swapping spots with Glen Oaks Community College who moved up one spot to number 14 thi sweek with a perfect 18-0 record. The T-Birds remain one of six Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference schools to find themselves in the top 20 poll, led by number two ranked Coffeyville Community College and number three ranked Johnson County Community College. Fort Scott Community College was the biggest movers this week amongst KJCCC schools, moving up two spots to number five while Highland Community College slipped two spots to number seven. Cowley remained at the number 11 spot for the third straight week following a perfect 5-0 week last week to move to 15-2 overall. 

Things are likely to be shaken up in the polls this week as number two Coffeyville will play at number five Fort Scott on Wednesday night along with Cloud County hosting number three Johnson County in KJCCC action. First serve for both matches will be at 6:30 p.m. and are two of numerous matches this week featuring KJCCC schools taking on opponents ranked inside the Top-20.
