GEARY COUNTY — One person was injured in an accident just after 11a.m. Friday in Geary County.

The Kansas. Highway Patrol reported a 2019 Volvo semi driven by Maciej Ratajczak, 45, Alslip, IL., was eastbound on Interstate 70 near the U.S. 40 exit. A vehicle in front of the semi slowed down prompting the semi to change lanes to slow down. The semi hydroplaned and traveled into the median. The driver overcorrected and the semi overturned.

EMS transported Ratajczak to Geary Community Hospital. He was properly restrained at the time of the accident, according to the KHP.
