Shirley A. McBride, 75, passed away Sunday, Oct. 6, 2019. She was born Oct. 10, 1943, in Lincoln, to Emil and Lenora (Saenger) Hildebrandt. Shirley moved to Wichita and earned a business degree. There she also met the love of her life, Marvin McBride. They were married May 18, 1968.

She worked at Southwestern Bell for 10 years. Later she moved to Salina and owned a daycare business for over 18 years. After retiring she worked part time at Target and helped care for her grandchildren.

She is survived by: her husband of 51 years, Marvin; daughter, Terri Clarkson (Shannon); grandchildren, Hunter Clarkson (Katie) and Blake Clarkson; and sister, Betty Edmondson.

Visitation will be 9:30-10:30 a.m., Friday, Oct. 11, followed by Memorial Services at 10:30 a.m. all at Ryan Mortuary, Salina. Inurnment will be in Fairview Cemetery at a later date.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the family to assist with expenses.
