Jesse F. Nordyke, 86, Minneapolis, died Sunday, October 13, 2019.  He was born March 15, 1933 in Minneapolis to Guy and Elsie (Morris) Nordyke.

Upon graduating from high school, Jesse served in the United States Army.  On October 31, 1956, he and Sandra Garrison were united in marriage.  He worked as a heavy equipment operator for the State of Kansas for many years.

Jesse was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Francis, Kenneth, Letha, Gladys, and Marian; and his son-in-law, Dave Rupert.

Survivors are his wife, Sandra; children, Cindy Rupert, Buck (Barbara), and Calvin (Becky); six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Memorial services will be at 10:00 A.M., Thursday, October 17 at Wilson Family Funeral Home, Minneapolis.  Burial will follow in the Delphos Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. Wednesday at the funeral home.  Memorials may be made to the Minneapolis Recreation Commission to be used for the baseball fields.
