Cloud County women’s soccer comes in at No. 18 In NJCAA Top 20 Poll

CONCORDIA – With postseason play around the corner, the Cloud County Community College women’s soccer team has held their rank at number 18 in the latest NJCAA Women’s Soccer Top-20 poll released on Monday.

The ranking comes as CCCC will enter this weekend’s NJCAA Region VI playoff opener on a 14-game winning streak, having won twice last week to earn an outright Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference West Division Title for the second time in three years. Earning a total of 23 points, the T-Birds are just a single point back of number 17 Holmes Community College and six points ahead of KJCCC East Division foe Cowley College who moved up one spot to number 19. Also representing the KJCCC in the latest poll is Kansas City Kansas Community College, as the Blue Devils are receiving votes with a 12-3-0 overall record.

Cloud County is scheduled to play Johnson County Community College in their NJCAA Region VI opener on Saturday with a kickoff time still to be determined. The game will be played at the Cloud County Soccer Field on campus in Concordia, as the Cavaliers will enter the contest with an 11-6-1 overall record. JCCC has won three straight matches, including a win two weeks ago over number 15 Iowa Western Community College in two overtimes.
