Consideration of a KDHE contract, HVAC bid recommendation, and an executive session are among the items on the Saline County Commission agenda for Tuesday morning.
The commissioners’ first meeting, which is scheduled to begin at 9 a.m. Tuesday in room 107 of the City-County Building, 300 W. Ash, is to be televised by Salina Media Connection. A time for public comment is scheduled near the beginning of the meeting.
Commissioners are scheduled to consider a request from the county health department to sign a contract supplement to the Kansas Department of Health and Environment contract signed by commissioners on July 23. According to meeting packet information, the grant “is generally used to fund the birth control that is provided as part of the Family Planning program. The grant amount for fiscal year 202 is $31,825 for the period July 1, 2019 to June 30, 2020.”
Additionally, the Senior Services Department is scheduled to ask commissioners to approve a bid for HVAC services. The bids are for four split systems, three packaged rooftop units, first-floor walk-in freezer system replacement, and removal of an outdoor unit, according to meeting packet information.
The three bids received were:
- $98,250 from Pestinger Heating and Air Conditioning, Inc.
- $94,777 from Glassman Corporation
- $84,390 from Callabresi Heating and Cooling, Inc.
Senior services is asking the commissioners to approve the bid from Callabresi.
Rosie Walter, senior services director, also is scheduled to provide a monthly update.
At the conclusion of the first meeting, the commissioners are scheduled to meet in a study session in room 107B of the City-County Building. Following is the agenda for the study session.
- Executive session, attorney-client privilege with Mike Montoya, county counselor, concerning potential litigation (no time length listed)
- County administrator’s weekly update with Hannah Stambaugh, interim county administrator (30 minutes)
