ABILENE — The Dickinson County Sheriff’s Department is searching for a suspect believed to be connected to multiple fuel thefts.

An arrest warrant has been issued for Jeremy Manosh of Herington, and Dickinson County authorities are attempting to locate him, according to a news release from the Dickinson County Sheriff’s Department.

On Thursday, the Dickinson County Sheriff’s Department executed a search warrant on a residence in Herington. During the search, investigators recovered approximately 75 gallons of motor fuel, siphoning tools, four propane tanks, and a Smith and Wesson .38 caliber handgun that was stolen from Lincoln County, the release noted.

According to the sheriff’s department, the motor fuel thefts occurred on eight occasions from Sept. 5 to Oct. 16, with 213 gallons of fuel being stolen. Additionally, the propane tanks were stolen Oct. 13-14, the sheriff’s department noted. The thefts occurred at the Navarre Co-op and the End Zone convenience store in Hope, according to the release.

The sheriff’s department is requesting charges of misdemeanor theft (eight counts), misdemeanor damage to property (two counts), and possession of stolen property against Manosh.

Persons with information concerning the location of Manosh are asked to contact law enforcement immediately, the sheriff’s department noted.
