KWU Nursing Department to co-host blood drive in memory of alumna

For the third straight year, the Kansas Wesleyan University Nursing Department will co-host a blood drive in memory of one of its own.

The annual Red Cross blood drive in memory of Leah Reay, a 2013 graduate of KWU, will be held on Friday in Muir Gym from 8:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. Walk-ins will be accepted.

Reay was a 2013 graduate of the KWU Nursing program who worked in Salina for a short time after graduating. She was killed in a car crash in California in 2017. Members of Reay’s family still work in the Salina area and have established a KWU Nursing scholarship in her name.
