One of Salina’s own will open a special exhibit showcasing his photography Monday at The Gallery at Kansas Wesleyan University.

George Jerkovich will display a series of his photographs in an exhibit, Near Burma Road – Saline County, Kansas, that runs Monday through Dec. 13. Admission to the exhibit is free.

Nearly all of the photos that will be displayed were taken in the vicinity of Burma Road, located just outside of Salina. The pictures were taken over the span of several years and show different scenic landscapes in this particular region of Saline County.

Jerkovich is a long-time resident of Salina, having lived in the town for more than 30 years. A closing reception will be held in the gallery on Dec. 5 from 5–6:30 p.m., with remarks from Jerkovich coming at 5:30 p.m.
