ABILENE — With the holidays comes the Abilene Area Toys 4 Tots program. Here’s everything you need to know about the annual initiative:

Registration

Registration for the Abilene Area Toys 4 Tots is held in conjunction with the Church Women United registration.

The registration location is at the Saint Andrew’s Church Parish Hall in Abilene.

Persons wishing to register children must do so in person and be the legal guardian of the children being registered.  

Dates to register children 12 and younger are as follows.

• Dec. 4 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
• Dec. 5 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 4-6 p.m.
• Dec. 6 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Registrations will only be taken at these times.

Distribution

Distribution of the Toys 4 Tots packages will be Dec. 14, from 9 a.m. to noon at Sterl Hall in Abilene. Distribution will only be made for those who registered on one of the above dates.

Donations

For those wanting to make a donation to Abilene Area Toys 4 Tots, you can drop off monetary donations at Pinnacle Bank, 401 North Spruce, in Abilene or mail to:

You may also drop off new toys in the Toys 4 Tots marked boxes located at several Abilene businesses including: Corner Stop, Holm Automotive Center, Joe Snuffy’s Restaurant, Kwik Shop, Liberty Store, Love’s Travel Stop & Country Store, M&R Grill, Memorial Hospital, Pinnacle Bank, West Stop and West Stop West, and Dollar General in Abilene and Solomon.

Also look for money donation jars around Abilene at Corner Stop, Four Seasons RV Acres Convenience Store, Kwik Shop, Liberty Convenience Store, and West Stop and West Stop West.
