NWS: Wind advisory issued for counties in our area

Not only is the weather supposed to be cold on Monday, but for several counties in our area, it also will be windy.

The National Weather Service in Wichita has issued a wind advisory in effect from 3 a.m.-2 p.m. Monday for the following counties in our area.

Ellsworth County
Lincoln County
Marion County
McPherson County
Saline County

North winds 25 to 30 mph with gusts up to 40 mph are expected.

Gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result. High profile vehicles may become difficult to operate on the highway. This will especially be true on east and west oriented highways.
