Details on the type of threat or where it was found was not released at this time due to the ongoing investigation.

The following is a news release from USD 305:

On April 16, information alleging a general threat was found at Central High School. School officials consulted with Salina police and will be taking extra precautions. There will be increased police presence, school walk-throughs and we will be monitoring access to the building.

Law enforcement authorities and school officials continue to investigate. At this time Central remains open and extra precautions are being taken. We will keep parents informed.
