Salina firefighters were dispatched to the ADM Mill on E. Ash about 9:45 a.m. on Thursday to a report of “something smelling hot.”

Salina Fire Battalion Chief Calvin Kelsey said a milling pump seized up, creating some smoke, but there was no fire.

A three block portion of East  Ash between 2nd Street and 5th Street was blocked off in the event fire crews would need to have hose going across the street.

The street was re- opened up to traffic again just before 10:30 a.m.
