Man arrested on charge of aggravated assault

Timothy SellersA Salina man is arrested and put into Jail Thursday evening on requested charges that include aggravated assault following an incident at a central Salina home.

Police Captain Mike Sweeney said 25-year-old Timothy Sellers, went to a home of a 24-year-old woman acquaintance just after 7pm, forced his way into the home, and knocked down a bathroom door, that caused the woman to fall and scrape her arm. The woman has a protection-from-abuse order against Seller’s

Sellers also got into a scuffle with the woman’s 46-year-old father, and allegedly swung a bat at the man who received some scrapes.

Sellers left the home and was arrested at his residence later Thursday evening. In addition to the aggravated assault charge, requested charges include domestic battery, battery, criminal trespassing, criminal damage to property,and violation of a protection order.
