A Salina man is dead following an accident Thursday evening on South Fairchild Drive.

The Saline County Sheriff’s office reported that the driver of a truck was partially ejected in the rollover accident and pronounced dead at the scene. His name has not been released.

A passenger in the vehicle fled the scene but was located and booked into the Saline County jail.

Update 10:00pm Oct 2nd: The Salina Police and the Saline county sheriff’s department of made a perimeter around the accident site and are searching the fields with spot lights.

Salina P.D. and the Salina fire department have been sent to the scene of a roll over accident at S Fairchilds rd and W Water Well rd. There has been a report of one casualty, a person was trapped underneath a vehicle.

There are reports that an individual from the accident fled the scene on foot.
