Dangerously cold weather ahead

Screen Shot 2014-12-30 at 5.52.02 AMDangerous wind chills will encompass the entire area today and tonight. Light snow will impact locations generally along and west of I-135 today and will taper off as the evening hours approach. Between a trace and 1 inch of snowfall is expected.

Today A chance of snow, mainly before 11am, then a chance for flurries. Cloudy, with a high near 12. Wind chill values as low as -9. North wind around 16 mph, with gusts as high as 24 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40%.
Tonight Cloudy, then gradually becoming partly cloudy, with a low around -1. Wind chill values as low as -13. North wind 5 to 14 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.
Wednesday Mostly sunny, with a high near 18. Wind chill values as low as -13. West northwest wind 7 to 10 mph becoming southwest in the afternoon.
Wednesday Night Partly cloudy, with a low around 12. West southwest wind around 8 mph.
New Year’s Day Mostly sunny, with a high near 34. West southwest wind 7 to 9 mph.
