John H. King, 87, Salina, died Wednesday, May 20, 2015. He was born in Chicago, Ill. on September 16, 1927. He moved to Salina in 1957. He was the cofounder of Insurors and Investors of Salina and was in the insurance business for over forty years. He was a marketing consultant for Sunflower Insurance Group of Salina.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Virginia King in 1993; his second wife, Bernice King in 2006, and two brothers, Robert King and David King.
He is survived by two sons, Sam A. King and wife Lisa of Salina and John H. King II and wife Mary of Chula Vista, Calif.; three grandchildren, Jennifer King of Wichita, Kan.; Brian King of Springfield, Mo., and John Samuel King of Enid, Okla.; a great-grandson, John Paul King of Valdosta, Ga.; a stepson, Craig Bieber and wife Yolanda of Wichita; and a brother, Lyle King of Tucson, Ariz.
He was a member of Loyal Order of Moose, Isis Shrine, past president of the Salina Barbershoppers (SPEBSQSA), past president of the Salina Insurance Board, a Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriter and past member of the Classic Car Club of America.
There will be no visitation. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, May 23, 2015 at Ryan Mortuary, 137 N. 8th, Salina, with Rev. Marshall Stanton officiating. Burial will be in Gypsum Hill Cemetery, Salina. The family suggests memorials to Hospice of Salina, in care of the mortuary.

Tim Joseph Talbot, 65, of Salina, passed away Monday, May 18th, at his home.
Tim was born in Alpena, Michigan on January 10, 1950, to the late Audrey (Kaiser) and David Talbot.
He served in the United States Army and was a veteran of the Vietnam War.
Survivors include his daughter, Tia Talbot, of Salina; son, Cody Talbot, of Salina; brothers, Gene Talbot, of Salina, David Talbot, of Harrisville, Michigan and Jesse Talbot, of Ferndale, Michigan, and Kenneth Talbot, of Oregon; and sisters, Joan Marie Talbot, of Augusta, Michigan, and Jayne Smalley, of Peabody, Kansas
Tim was preceded in death by his parents.
Cremation has been chosen and there will not be visitation.
Military rights will be conducted at 10:00 am, Friday, May 22, 2015 at Carlson-Geisendorf Funeral Home, Salina, Kansas

Jerry E. Gasaway, 81, Ada, passed away Tuesday, May 19, 2015. He was born June 15, 1933. He was preceded in death by his parents Jack and Dorothea (Merryfield) Gasaway.
Survivors include his wife Norma and son Dennis.
He grew up working with his dad at the Minneapolis Sale Barn. He graduated from Ada High School and served two years in the United States Navy. He was a lifelong farmer and an antique dealer and collector – fruit jars and primitives were his special interests.
He enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, sports (KU basketball) and his various cats and dogs throughout the years.
Survivors also include sisters and brothers-law Janet Powell, Richard and Virginia Fobes, Warren and Elizabeth Hixenbaugh, Larry and Carol Hixenbaugh; several nieces and nephews, and a special cousin Linda Doran.
Graveside services will be at 2:00 P.M. today at the Fairview Cemetery, Ada. Friends may call at the Wilson Family Funeral Home, Minneapolis, from 10:00 A.M. to Noon today. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Fairview Cemetery.
