Marvin Warren “Mike” Wrigley passed away Oct. 3, 2016 at 91 years of age. He was born Oct. 30, 1924 at a farm south of Alta Vista, KS. to Leonard R. and Julia (Furney) Wrigley. He was proceeded in death by his parents; one sister, Bethel (Joe) Rieck and a brother, Paul (Lila).
He is survived by a son, Mark (Beth) Wrigley, Jacksonville, FL; daughter, Laurel Lindell, Ponca City, OK; four grandchildren, Alexandra and Aaron Wrigley and Chase and Ann Lindell; one great grandson, Steven Wrigley; niece, Roberta (Jerry) Michael; nephew, Owen (LeLe) Wrigley and niece, Reseda Micky.
He married Ina Doris Brodine, Sept. 12, 1948 of Salina. She preceded him in death, June 10, 2008 after nearly sixty years of marriage. Mike graduated from Biglin grade school, named after his great grandfather, Alta Vista High School and Brown Mackie Business College. He was a past president of Salina Sunset Kiwanis, member of Salina Blue Lodge #60, AF & AM, York Rite, Isis Temple, Topless Travelers and ROJ ’94. He was a past member of the Saline Co. Planning Commission. Mike retired in 1989 from Salina Supply CO. after 43 years and was head of the Estimating Department.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, Oct. 10, 2016 at the Ryan Mortuary. Visitation will be Sunday from noon until 5:00 pm. Memorials are suggested to Isis Shrine Travel Fund or Gentiva Hospice of Salina.

Marilyn K. Struble, 77, of Salina, passed away Thursday, Oct. 6, 2016 surrounded by the love and prayers of her family. Born March 3, 1939 in Adams, Neb., Marilyn was the daughter of the late Wille E. and Fannie H. Sanders.
Marilyn is survived by: daughters, DeVonne McMillan, DeLynn Riley (Steve), and Cindy Cockcroft (Alan); brother, Dean Sanders; sisters, Carol Funk, Alice Burch, and Sally Stewart; grandchildren, Dan McMillan (Melissa), Amber Cahill (Ryan), Matthew Riley (Haley), Nicole and Glen Cockcroft; and great-grandchildren, Fiona, and Elsa Cahill.
Gardening, fishing, playing cards and watching birds were among the activities Marilyn loved. She adored her dog, Troubles, good humor, and time with friends and family. Marilyn was a gentle, gracious woman who put others first and made everyone feel welcome. Her beauty went very deep and she will be greatly missed.
Visitation will be 3-6 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 9, at Ryan Mortuary, Salina. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m., Monday, Oct. 10, at Ryan Mortuary.

Joyce “Joy” M. (Ahlquist) Morgan, 71, passed away on Sunday October 2, 2016 while riding her motorcycle, one of her most cherished pastimes.
She was born June 28, 1945 in Tescott, KS to Carl Eugene “Gene” and Lola (Shay) Ahlquist. She and Loren Homeier said their vows to each other at Loveland Pass, Colorado on October 28, 1995.
Preceding her in death were her father Gene Ahlquist, son, Howard Nail, sisters Charlotte Boyle and Alma Farr; grandparents Elmer and Ruby Ahlquist; mother and father-in law, Alfred and Marie Homeier.
Survivors include Loren Homeier of the home; mother Lola Ahlquist of Tescott, KS; daughters Janie (William Jr) Winn of Levelland, TX and Nancy (John) Curtis of Salina, Kansas; son Edward (Cheryl) Nail of Blue Springs, MO; step daughters Kandy (Jeff Gower) Stock of Topeka, KS; Christen O’Hara of Kansas City, KS; three sisters, Rose (Keith) Roush of Wilson, KS; Janice (Larry) Tromble of Tescott, KS; Thelma (Mark) Vaughn of Morrisville, NC; three brothers, Charlie (Barbara) Ahlquist of Salina, KS; Allen (Betty) Ahlquist and Frank (Linda) Ahlquist of Tescott, KS; 9 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren with 2 additional ones on the way; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Mass of Christian Burial for William E. “Bill” Enright, age 64, of Overland Park, Kansas formerly of Salina will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, October 10, 2016 at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Solomon with Father John Wolesky as Celebrant. Mr. Enright passed away Wednesday, October 5, 2016 at his home in Overland Park.
He was born May 13, 1952 on the family farm near Kipp, Kansas the son of Bernard and Margaret (Alyward) Enright. Bill moved to Salina as a teen and attended Salina High School. He was active in sports and played men’s fast pitch softball. He also enjoyed his rock band, his 1966 Pontiac GTO, and academics.
Bill was hired by Phillips Lighting in the glass plant area and started college at Marymount College. He graduated, became a C.P.A., and continued his career with Phillips for 35 years.
Bill is survived by: his sons, Michael Enright with his wife Samantha, and Kevin Enright; brother Kevin Enright; former spouse Mary Hill; sister-in-law Cindy Enright; niece Kendra Enright; nephew Joe Enright and his wife Suzanne; and great nephews Elden and Ethan Enright. He was preceded in death by his brothers James Enright, John Enright, his sister Marilyn Enright, and his parents.
His final resting place will be in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery near Solomon. A Parish Vigil Service will be 4:00 p.m. Sunday, October 9, 2016 at the Carlson-Becker Funeral Home in Solomon with the family receiving friends following. Funeral services for Audrey Joanne Knox, age 84, of Augusta, formerly of Abilene, will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, October 8, 2016 at the Detroit Cemetery north of Detroit with Reverend John Collins officiating. Mrs. Knox passed away Thursday, October 6, 2016 at the Lakepoint of Augusta Nursing Home in Augusta, Kansas.
She was born May 6, 1932 in Abilene the daughter of Russel and Ora (Lowry) Neher.
On June 18, 1959, Joanne married Frankie Dean Knox in Abilene. Joanne worked for various hospitals and nursing homes and also worked in the corporate office for Duckwalls for many years.
Joanne is survived by her daughter Jean Ann Ladensack of Glendale, Arizona; sons Tim Knoz of Wichita, Tom Knox of Manhattan; sister Betty Hampton of Abilene; brother Kenneth Neher of Lawton, Oklahoma; and five grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Dean on May 21, 2012, her daughter Connie Lynn Walls, and her parents.

Norman P. Sicard, age 89, died Thurs., Oct. 6, 2016 at Mt. Joseph Senior Village, Concordia, KS. Norman was born on April 21, 1927 in Clifton, KS to Edward “Shorty” Sicard & Bernadette (Roy) Sicard.
He graduated from St. Peter’s Parochial School in Aurora, KS in 1941. He married Nada C. Demars on May 17, 1947 in Aurora, KS. She preceded him on May 13, 1999. They resided in Clyde, Clifton & Jewell, KS until moving to Concordia. Norman served in the US Navy as a Sea Bee during WWII. After the war, he worked as an auto mechanic and farmer until they moved to Concordia. During his retirement, he worked as a night watchman at Cloud County Community College for several years. He was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, Moose Lodge #1428, American Legion Post #76 & VFW #588.
He is survived by his sons, Michael Sicard (Terrie), Riverside, CA, Rex Sicard (Diane) & Bruce Sicard (Kim), both of Concordia; daughters, Christine Huber (Mike), Sachse, TX, Rebecca Huber (Jeff) & Brenda Kearn (Bob), both of Concordia; sister, Madeline Wright, Concordia; five sisters in law, Janice Sicard, Margaret Sicard, Althea Sicard, Mary Rose Wiltzius & Madeline Demars; 19 grandchildren; 30 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; special friend, Betty Beaumont & several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

MARION – Vivian I. Conyers, 89, passed away October 5, 2016, at Avita Senior Living Center, Wichita, Kansas. She was born June 26, 1927, at Hillsboro, Kansas. She was the daughter of Pete and Katherine “Tina” (Loewen) Klein. She was a graduate of Marion High School. She was a teller at Marion National Bank for many years, before that she was a secretary for Slusser Oil Company. She was formerly active on the Library Board of Directors, the 20th Century Club, the St. Luke Auxiliary, and the VFW Auxiliary. She was a member of the Eastmoor United Methodist Church. She was the wife of Harold H. Conyers, he preceded her in death on October 20, 2012. She was also preceded by a son Randy Conyers. She is survived by a son, Wayne Conyers and wife Mary Ann of McPherson; and Melanie Northcutt and husband David of Wichita; 8 grandchildren: Reginald Conyers, Robert Conyers, Blake Conyers, Alothea Achem, Anoria Carlson, Alyssa Henberger, Erika Northcutt, and Haley Northcutt; and 10 great-grandchildren. James “Jim” Arnold Wiseman, 90, of McPherson, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 6, 2016, at McPherson Hospital. Jim worked as a switching equipment technician for Southwestern Bell Telephone Co. for 38 years, retiring in 1988.
Jim was born on June 8, 1926, in Green County, MO, the son of Robert Thompson and Ina Ellen (Owen) Wiseman. He attended Fair Grove Consolidated School in Fair Grove, MO. Jim served in the United States Navy during WWII.
On September 20, 1948, Jim was united in marriage to Iona J. Quinnette in Salina, KS. She preceded him in death on July 3, 1993. He married Sarah Vancil Brunk on April 24, 1994, in McPherson.
Jim was a member of McPherson Church of the Brethren and Telephone Pioneers. He was a former member of First Baptist Churches of McPherson and Salina.
Survivors include: wife, Sarah of the home; three daughters, Patricia Seger (Dennis) of Independence, MO, Diana Pierson (Dale) of Assaria, KS, and Linda Witten (Karl) of Emporia, KS; sister, Vesta McKinnis of Springfield, MO; seven grandchildren, Shawn Seger, Ashley Bates, Jamie Pierson, Marcus Pierson, Josh Witten, Kelley Witten, and Stacy Tate; and three great-grandchildren, Ava Scott, Hudson Bates, and Landon Bates.
He was preceded in death by his parents; first wife; three brothers; and three sisters.
The memorial service will be at 11:00 AM, Saturday, October 8, 2016, at The Cedars Conference Center, McPherson with Rev. Chris Whitacre and Rev. Kathryn Whitacre officiating. Inurnment will be in the McPherson Cemetery at a later date. In accordance with Jim’s wishes, his body was donated to the University of Kansas School of Medicine.

Bernadine Pauline (Meyers) Reynolds passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 5, 2016, at Presbyterian Manor in Wichita, Kansas at the age of 95. She was born the youngest of six children on May 19, 1921, to the late John B. and Dora (Westhusin) Meyers on a farm near Natoma, Kansas. She grew up and attended schools in Natoma, residing there most of her lifetime. On July 31, 1938,
Bernadine was united in marriage to Marvin F. Reynolds in Plainville, Kansas. They were blessed with five children, Marvin, Mark, Cynthia, Mike, and Phil. She was a devoted wife, mother, and friend to many. Gardening, canning, tending to her flowers, and keeping a large yard maintained kept her busy during the warm months. During colder weather, she spent much of her time on projects: sewing, needlework, crocheting, knitting, baking, reading, and more. Time spent in prayer was a priority in her life no matter what the season. Even though her dementia destroyed her memory of names and faces of those closest to her, she never totally forgot the words to her daily prayers. Bernadine was a proud member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Plainville and the American Legion Auxiliary in Natoma.
She is survived by her children Marvin Reynolds and wife Lucinda of Mountain Home, AR, Cynthia Schamber and husband Dennis of Wichita, Mike Reynolds and wife Denise of Kingwood, TX, and Phil Reynolds and wife Mary Kay of Conroe, TX; daughter-in-law Joanne Reynolds of Hays; grandchildren Gerry Reynolds and wife Angie, Tyler Reynolds, Tanner Reynolds, Melissa Brillhart and husband Darcy, Jeffrey Schamber, Alison Richardson and husband Steven, Lindsey Reynolds, Travis Reynolds and wife Janelle, and Nicole Buck and husband Taylor; great-grandchildren Quentin, Noah, and Ava Brillhart, Mackenzie, Taylor, Wyatt, Zoe, Desiree, and Layla Richardson, Seth Reynolds, and Jordyn Buck.
She was preceded in death by her parents John and Dora Meyers, husband Marvin Reynolds, son Mark Reynolds, brothers Leonard, Lawrence, George, and Floyd Meyers, and sister Evelyn Younie.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00am on Monday, October 10, 2016 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Plainville. Burial will follow in the Natoma City Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2:00-5:00pm and 6:00-8:00pm on Sunday at the funeral home with Prayer Vigil at 7:00pm.
