3993494_wlppKarl Michael Chaput, age 66, Salina resident, died Saturday, August 19, 2016 at Salina Regional Health Center, Salina, Kansas. He was born on July 20, 1950 in El Paso, Texas to Eugene A. and Jane Lee (Fetter) Chaput.
He married Cheryl L. Addington on October 11, 1986 in Lead, South Dakota and they had just recently celebrated their 30th Anniversary.
He was a Funeral Director and owner of Chaput Funeral Home in Lead and Deadwood, South Dakota area. He was also an owner/operator of Deadwood Thymes Café Bistro until moving to Salina where he served as Chef for the Salina Country Club.
He is survived by his wife Cheryl of Salina; 2 children, Michael Chaput, Jr. (Jamie) of New Jersey and Wendy Addington, Spearfish, South Dakota; 3 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Mass of a Christian burial will be held at 10:00 am, Tues., November 1, 2016 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Clyde with Rev. Steven Heina officiating.  Burial will follow in the Mt. Calvary Catholic Cemetery, Clyde.

Visitation will be held on Monday, October 31, 2016 from 1:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. with a Rosary Service at 7:00 p.m. at Chaput Mortuary, Clyde.

The family suggests memorials to the Mt. Calvary Cemetery Fund in care of the funeral home.

5814e34745a69Jerry Price, of Herington, died Thursday, October 27th, 2016, at the Salina Regional Health Center.  He was born on August 28th, 1934, at Sea Isle City, New Jersey, the son of Samuel J. and Dorothy M. (Daubert) Price.

Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11:00 AM, Thursday, Nov. 3rd, 2016, at the St. John Catholic Church of Herington, with Rev. Soosai Rathinam and Rev. Mark Wesely, officiating. Burial will follow at the St. John Catholic Cemetery of Herington. Preceding the services at the church, there will be a public viewing at 9:30 AM with rosary following at 10:30 AM.

He was a conductor with Southern Pacific Railroad and the former Rock Island Railroad, retiring in April 1992.  Prior to working on the railroad he worked construction as a carpenter. In 1969 he left New Jersey and moved to Herington.  He was a member of the St. John Catholic Church.

He is survived by three brothers: John Price of Warrington, PA, Samuel Price of Fairless Hill, PA, Robert Price of Owings Mills, MD; two sisters: Dorothy Price of Jim Thorpe, PA, Joan Price of Langhorne, PA; long-time companion Lillian Minnick of Manhattan; close friends Larry and Karla Mann of Herington; and many nieces and nephews.

The family requests memorials to St. John Catholic Church; and may be sent in care of the Zeiner Funeral Home, 404 S. Broadway, Herington, KS, 67449-3038.

Cecelia Ann Young, 74 died on October 29, 2016 at her residence in Lyons. She was born March 20, 1942 to Joseph and Olive Case Brown in Reno County. A Lyons resident since 2008, formerly of Raymond. She was a Certified Nurse Aide / Restorative Aide and a homemaker. She graduated from Sterling High School in the class of 1960. On April 6, 1973 she married Stanley Young in Sterling, he died on August 4, 1986.  She was a member of the United Methodist Church, Sterling; attended the United Methodist Church and Bon Ami Sunday School Class in Lyons. She was also a member of the Rebekah Lodge, Lyons.  Survivors are, Son, Joseph M. Young & Regina Belote, Daughter, Clara & Terry Hensley, both of Lyons; Siblings, John & Sandra Brown, Ontario, Ca., Patricia Flack, Torrence, Ca., Marjorie Everoski, Wichita,  Lawrence Brown, Newton, Barbara & Stacy Thomas, Park City; Sister-in-laws, Sondra & Richard Cox, Lyons, Darlene Young, Hutchinson; 9 Grandchildren, 11 Step-Grandchildren;

7 Step-Great-Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.

Funeral Service 10:00 A.M., Friday, November 4, 2016 at Birzer Funeral Home, Lyons with Pastor Joel Grizzle officiating.  Visitation will be 2:00 to 7:00 P.M., Thursday, November 3, 2016 with family present 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. Burial in Lyons Municipal Cemetery. Memorials to Bon Ami Sunday School Class in care of the funeral home.
