The newest class of Kansas Highway Patrol troopers will hit a milestone in their careers, as they graduate from the Kansas Highway Patrol Training Academy in Salina this Thursday, December 8. The Patrol’s 34 newest troopers will then enter the field training phase of our training program. This is the largest trooper class to graduate since 38 new troopers graduated in 2002.
KHP Recruit Class #56 began their 23 weeks of training at the Patrol’s Kansas Highway Patrol Training Academy (Troop J) on July 6, 2016.
New troopers will be stationed in the following counties: Anderson, Atchison, Barber, Brown, Dickinson, Douglas (2 troopers), Jackson, Johnson/Wyandotte (4 troopers), Labette (2 troopers), Linn, Nemaha, Neosho, Osage, Pottawatomie, Pratt (2 troopers), Rush, Saline, Scott, Sedgwick (2 troopers), Seward, Shawnee, Sherman, Sumner, Thomas, Trego, and Wabaunsee (2 troopers).
