A Salina man was arrested Saturday after discharging a weapon into the air near the corner of Iron and Ohio.

A Salina police officer was turning onto Iron from Ohio street around 1:46am when he heard a gunshot. Standing in the street, allegedly holding a Super Commanche pistol, was 25-year-old Blake Ellis, of 1048 E. Iron.

Ellis was arrested for unlawful discharge of a firearm.
