Jack E. Smith, 85, Minneapolis, died Friday, June 22, 2012. He was born April 2, 1927 in Vine Creek to Claude E. and Anna (Constable) Smith. Jack was a 1945 graduate of Minneapolis High School and he was a farmer. He was preceded in death by his wife Verla on June 13, 2010. Survivors include his children, Lloyd E. Swagerty of Bennington, James L. Swagerty of Minneapolis, and Jeri Wimer of Smolan; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

It was Jack’s wishes to be cremated and no services will be held. Memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospitals and may be left in care of Wilson Family Funeral Home, P.O. Box 166, Minneapolis, KS 67467.
