SOUND OFF
1. If the city imposes a burn ban, then they need to cancel Sky Fire. If it is too dry for my family to responsibly shoot off fireworks, then it is too dry for them to do it, too. Plain and simple.
2. If this fireworks ban doesn’t happen and fires go wild i think we need to fire the fire marshall, city manager Gage, and the City/County Commsioners. Public safety is more imporant then dollars spent on fireworks.
3. Salina should ban the 4th of July this season.
4. For the idiots that think they can text and drive. If you’re going 70mph and you hit my grandkids I’m going to be going after you to spend the rest of your life in prison. And if you don’t go to prison, I’m going to make it feel like prison. That is completely idiotic thinking.
5. There should be more restaurants open later than 10 pm in Salina!
6. Salina should ban fireworks.
7. If Saline County Emergency Management plans to issue a burn ban prior to the fourth of July, they should announce it now instead of letting people buy fireworks and then have police issue tons of tickets. Seems underhanded to me.
8. Please, please, please don’t ban fireworks!
9. There is no reason to issue a ban on fireworks in Salina. If you act responsibly, it isn’t going to start any fires. I’m tired of being rules being set for all, only because of the idiots. Pay attention to what you are doing, keep water or a hose around, don’t shoot fireworks into areas with tall grass and you’ll be fine.
