UPDATE: According to the National Weather Service, the fire danger for some of the counties in our area has been downgraded slightly. Read about it here.

The National Weather Service (NWS) says Saline, McPherson, Ellsworth, and Lincoln counties are among those in a “very high grassland fire danger” area for Friday.
Warmer temperatures, low humidity, and breezy southwest winds will support very high grassland fire danger Friday across portions of central and north-central Kansas, NWS noted.
Be mindful of outdoor burning and anything that can cause sparks, NWS added.
